The basics



Marathon & Half Marathon



  • Point to point races on the East Coast Greenway Trail
  • Start
    • ​Marathon
      • ​The starting line will be at the upper Bolton Notch parking lot on Morancey Rd. Bolton, CT.
      • When you arrive, race staff will direct you to the start.
    • ​Half Marathon
      • The starting line will be at the lower Bolton Notch parking lot.
      • When you arrive, race staff will direct you to the start.
      • The half marathon start is approximately .4 mile walk from the parking area.
      • We will not start the Half Marathon until all the runners from the last shuttle arrive at the starting area.
  • ​​Finish
    • ​The finish for both races is on the East Coast Greenway trail, that runs along The Main Moose property.
    • There will be water and post race fuel at the finish line.
    • The finish line is .25 miles from the parking area.
      • ​There will be wagon shuttles provide by The Main Moose to bring runners up the hill to the parking area.
  • Field Size
    • Each race will be limited to 200 runners​
      • There will be four (4) waves per race
  • Course time limits
    • Marathon time limit of 6 hours
    • ​Half Marathon time limit of 4 hours
  • COVID-19 Runner safety guidelines
  • Getting to the start
    • ​Shuttles will be available from the finish line parking lot prior to the start of each race.
    • Shuttles will only be for registered runners.
    • You will need to signup for a shuttle time during the registration process.
    • Masks must be worn when you are on the shuttle at all times.
  • Parking
    • ​At the start
      • ​Parking is limited at the Bolton Commuter lot on Morancey Rd. Bolton, CT
      • We encourage runners to park at the finish and utilize the shuttle.
    • ​At the finish
      • ​The Main Moose (94 Route 66 East, Columbia, CT)
